BRADFORD, Vt. — The town will hold a meeting on May 18 to revote a Town Meeting article about a scoping study for a sidewalk on Creamery Road.

At Bradford’s March 2 Town Meeting, voters rejected an article to cease scoping for the proposed sidewalk. Residents subsequently petitioned for a revote, saying they were confused about the intent of the article.

The Selectboard decided to set the date for the revote and informational presentation, which will proceed the vote, at its meeting last week.

The revote will determine whether the town should continue “with a scoping study to investigate the feasibility of a walking/bicycle path or sidewalk from any portion of 25B to the park and ride (also known as Creamery Road) off the junction of Route 25 and Plateau Acres.”

The in-person meeting will take place at the Bradford Academy Building, 172 North Main Street, on Saturday, May 18, at 9 a.m.

CORRECTION: Bradford, Vt., voters rejected a Town Meeting article, 68-54, to cease scoping, design and/or construction of a walking/bicycle path or sidewalk along Creamery Road to the park and ride at the intersection of Route 25 and Plateau Acres. A previous version of this story included an incorrect outcome of the Town Meeting vote.
