Forum for Oct. 10, 2024: Vote for Democrats

Several years ago, I was grateful when Margaret Drye appeared at my house with a couple of other members of the Cornish Rescue Squad when I was having a medical emergency. For many years, Margaret has provided a valuable service to our community as a part of that group.
Margaret’s good work in that area in no way qualifies her to represent us in Concord. Her radical views on public education and women’s health are out of step with the views of the majority of her constituents.
For that reason, I urge you to vote for Jenny Ramsey on Nov. 5. She is a strong supporter of public education and reproductive rights, and she will represent our district, Sullivan 7, well. Please join me in casting your vote for Jenny.

I am excited to support Becca White in her bid for re-election as one of our Vermont State Senators.
She has been dedicated to serving the people of Vermont for 10 years (four on the Hartford Selectboard, four as a state Representative and the last two years in the state Senate. While serving in the House, Becca worked effectively on modernizing the transportation systems in Vermont and was an active member of the Climate Solutions Caucus. She is now co-chair of the Climate Solutions Caucus in the Senate, serves on the Senate Natural Resources & Energy Committee, and is the Communications Director for the Senate Democratic Caucus. I am proud to support someone so committed to our shared belief that everyone has a right to health care, affordable housing, child care, public education and is so committed to protecting our environment.
Becca is following in the footsteps of her district-mate, Sen. Alison Clarkson, in her commitment to being accessible to her constituents. She is always willing to have a conversation with her fellow Vermonters and hear about the issues that are most important to them to effectively represent our community in Montpelier.

Elect Democrats for
Windsor Senate seats
I am writing in support of the Democratic ticket for the Windsor County Senate district: Sen. Alison Clarkson, Sen. Becca White, and Joe Major. Alison and Becca are seeking re-election, while Joe hopes to bring his extensive town governance, housing, and racial justice experience to Montpelier as a new senator for our district.
Over the summer on the campaign trail working for Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman, I have gotten to know these three individuals, and am proud to call them my friends and allies. I have seen that Alison, Becca and Joe share records of dedicated leadership, with Alison guiding Democratic priorities through the legislature as the Senate Majority Leader, Becca serving as co-chair of both the Climate Solutions Caucus and Future’s Caucus, and Joe overseeing impactful policy changes within tight budgets as the Hartford Town Treasurer. The three candidates share a deep understanding of what Vermont needs.
Our state Legislature will face numerous challenges in the next legislative cycle, from stabilizing our education funding system to ensuring that Vermont remains a viable place for young people to live and start families, and as a 17-year-old high school senior, I know that Allison, Becca and Joe will fight for my future and for all Vermonters. I am happy to endorse them to represent my home state senate district in Windsor County and I hope you consider voting for Alison, Becca and Joe on, or before Nov. 5.
