38th Vermont Apple Festival and Craft Show in Springfield, Vt.: Saturday, Oct. 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Riverside Middle School, 13 Fairground Road. Includes craft and food vendors, activities for children, fastest Kid in town race, apples and pie contest. Free. More information: springfieldvt.com.

Harvest Celebration in Woodstock: Saturday, Oct. 8, and Sunday, Oct. 9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Billings Farm & Museum, 69 Old River Road. Traditional harvest activities.
