Hartford School District annual meeting preview

Article of note: Hartford voters will consider whether to approve a $21 million bond for improvements to buildings throughout the district. 

Contested races: School Board elections were held on Town Meeting Day.

Budget and spending articles: The proposed operating budget is $51.1 million, an increase from last year’s $47.7 million. The board originally warned a budget of $52.4 million in January, which it then rescinded to make spending cuts. 

When, where and how to vote: A budget discussion and information session will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 10 a.m. at the Hartford High School gymnasium. Balloted voting is scheduled for Monday, April 15 at the Hartford High School Gymnasium. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
