HARTFORD — The town will hold an information night on Monday to present voters with information about a proposal for a 1% local option sales tax.
Also on the agenda is discussion of a proposal to use existing tax revenue from rooms, meals and alcohol to purchase vehicles for the Parks and Recreation and Public Works departments, and extrication tools for the Fire Department.
At its Dec. 10 meeting, the Selectboard voted to recommend voters approve the 1% local option sales tax, which would be used to offset municipal property taxes.
Monday’s meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in the Hartford Town Hall and on Zoom.
The same information will also be presented at the Town and School District meeting on Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.
