Town Meeting: Haverhill chooses 2 in contested Selectboard race

HAVERHILL — In Town Meeting Day ballot voting, Haverhill voters elected town and school officers.

Joseph Longacre and Phil Blanchard were the top vote-getters in a five-way contest for two open seats with three-year terms on the Selectboard, with 408 and 403 votes, respectively. They bested Stephen Robbins, who had 262 votes; Vicki Wyman, 245; and Richard Guy, 204.

In uncontested races on the school side, Aaron Palm and Donald LoCasico won at-large three-year terms on the School Board and Robert St. Pierre won a one-year term.
