Lebanon seeks input into planning for the Route 120 corridor’s future

LEBANON — City planning staff will host a public workshop on Wednesday for community members to share ways to develop the Route 120 corridor between the I-89 exchange and the Hanover town line. 

The workshop, known as a charette, will allow participants to share ideas about the future development of the city along a 3-mile corridor that is home to a mix of businesses, hotels and homes, including the Lebanon Co-op Food Store, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Lebanon High School. 

The Lebanon Planning and Development Department, which is hosting the event, is currently working on a plan for the development of the corridor, which city administrators see as a potential new village center, according to the city website. The input of community participants will help inform the planning of potential development, land preservation and infrastructure necessary to support future growth. 

The charette will be held Wednesday, April 24, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Auditorium E on the third floor. 

Community members may also share input through an online survey. A survey link, as well as additional information about the project, is on the city website at lebanonnh.gov/1757/Route-120-Corridor-Study.
