Key players: Hanover — Nora Bradley, Reese Hamlin; Nashua South — Corinne Rivera

Highlights: Hanover came out strong, with several opportunities in the opening 15 minutes, but lost momentum through the middle of the first period. A strong run to goal by Nora Bradley produced a rebound and conversion by Kat Moseley 30 minutes in. Nasnua South equalized off a defensive miscue midway through the second period, but Hanover increasingly took control of possession. A booming outside shot by Nora Bradley with 10 minutes to go sealed the deal.

Boys Soccer

Hanover 3, Portsmouth 0

Key players: Hanover — Roan Palm, Sascha Palm, Charlie Fosbush, Sam Ames

Highlights: The Bears won a statement game against a good Portsmouth team, taking a 2-0 lead with first-half goals by Roan Palm and Sascha Palm and then dominating the second half and putting the game away with 15 minutes left on Roan Palm’s second goal of the day and third of the season. Hanover’s senior back line of Sam Ames, Joseph Glass and Noah Winchester combined with defensive midfielder Charlie Forbush to bottle up Portsmouth’s star striker, Woodley St. Pierre, and senior goalkeeper Henry Cotter had fine saves to collect his second shutout of the year.
