Boys Soccer

Hanover 1, Pinkerton 0

Key players: Hanover — Dino Gavetti, Sacha Palm, Charlie Forbush; Pinkerton — Ethan Bellows, Braeden Wheeler.

Highlights: Hanover freshman Gavetti broke open a scoreless game in the 75th minute on Saturday, assisted by Palm and Forbush. Bears senior goalkeeper Henry Cotter made four saves for his sixth shutout and Hanover’s eighth. The Bears got great midfield performances from Forbush and Roan Palm. Hanover is now 9-3-1 and in fourth place in NHIAA Division 1.

Hartford 1, Woodstock 0

Key players: Hartford — Ben Lang, Sam Peckinpaugh, Nolan Morlock; Woodstock — Parker Pierce.

Highlights: Hartford controlled the first half of the game but was unable to get one past Woodstock keeper Pierce, who made multiple saves. Woodstock threatened late in the first half on corner kicks, but Hartford’s Lang made two saves to keep the score 0-0 at half. Hartford scored Saturday’s lone goal 10 minutes into the second half on a shot by Peckinpaugh, assisted from Morlock.

Records: Hartford 11-2; Woodstock 2-9

Rivendell 12, Bellows Falls 5

Key players: Rivendell — Javen Welch, Torin King.

Highlights: Welch scored six goals to lead the Raptors to a win over visiting Bellows Falls on Monday. King had two goals for Rivendell, and Kaydin Gilman, Brycen Gilman, Will Knowles, and Wyatt Parker also contributed to the scoring.

Records: Rivendell 4-8; Bellows Falls 0-12

Caledonia United 5, Oxbow 2

Key players: Caledonia United — Sam McLane, Omar Miksic-Knibb. Oxbow — Andrew Barrett, Kobin Ellsworth, Oden Schlager.

Highlights: Caledonia’s McLane had four goals and Miksic-Knibb provided the other. Oxbow’s Barrett and Ellsworth each scored one goal. Oxbow keeper Schlager had 12 saves.

Springfield 5, White River Valley 2

Key players: WRV — Cassie Armstrong (1 goal, 1 assist); Rhianna Young (1 goal, 1 assist); Imari Taylor (6 saves).

Highlights: Springfield started the scoring quickly with a goal in the opening minute and then doubled the lead three minutes later. The Wildcats answered with two goals to tie it up. Springfield tallied one more before the half.

Stratton Mountain 2, Hartford 1

Key players: Hartford — Harper Traendly, Wren Parker, Paisley Danaher.

Highlights: The Hurricanes scored first, but Stratton came back with two goals in the final 9 minutes to snatch the win. Hartford’s goal was scored by Traendly off an assist from Sam Fraser.
