Newport’s Ploss wins award
at Lebanon tournament

LEBANON — Newport’s Blake Ploss received the Outstanding Wrestler Award at the Lebanon Holiday Tournament last month as voted on by tournament coaches.

Ploss won the 132 lb weight class and teammate Brandon Gay was third in the 150 lb weight class. Newport had an 11-7 in head-to-head competition and finished 12th out of 23 teams.
