Highlights: Lebanon lost just a single game in sweeping the six singles matches; Nina Ellingson and Mai Le made their varsity debuts in an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles

Track and FieldSanborn Invitational

At last Saturday's Sanborn Invitational Track and Field meet, Newport saw three athletes place first in their events and Lebanon had one first place finish.

Newport senior Maddox Lovely won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.26 seconds and teammate Callie Dixon won the shot put with a throw of 34 feet two inches. For the Newport boys, Ayden Hodge won the javelin, throwing it 136 feet, nine inches. Lebanon's Nicholas Petrucci won the pole vault, clearing 12 feet six inches. For the Lebanon girls, freshman Ella Kerin-Herrick was third in the 300 meter hurdles and fifth in the 100 hurdles. Rachel Horak of Lebanon was sixth in the 300 hurdles and Torrence Williams was fourth for Lebanon in the javelin. Lebanon's Oscar Gulledge was second in the shot put and third in the 110 meter hurdles with teammates Teeghan Joyner, a freshman. third in the 200 meter dash, Ryder Desharnais fifth in the discus and Elias Chafee sixth in the 300 meter hurdles.
