Key players: Hartford — Audrey Rupp (5 goals, 1 assist); Madi Barwood (4 goals, 1 assist); Izzy Sirois (1 goal); Nella Bowen, 3 goals

Highlights: Rupp scored her 100th career point and Barwood scored her 100th career goal during a very physical, well-matched competition. Dakin Kovatch had seven saves to hold Rice’s strong attack at bay.

Highlights: Lebanon had a strong defensive effort, led by senior goalie James Barnett and senior Danny Keefe along with Miles Sanders, Chase Adams, Teo Gruntmantis and Jordan Findley. Abe Pearson and Evan George tallied one goal each for the Raiders.

Highlights: The visiting Hurricanes battled hard and won over Woodstock. They clinched the win when Arlo Philip won his singles match.

Highlights: Green made his singles debut in his first varsity match and won 8-0.

Key players: Lebanon — Hannah Rich, Sophie Longacre, Laura Hines

Highlights: Rich, Longacre and Hines were all 8-0 winners. Rich combined with Mari Utell to win 8-0 at doubles as well, as did the Longacre/Hines tandem.

Baseball

Merrimack Valley 3, Hanover 1

Key players: Hanover — Jake Toulmin, Allie Muirhead, Sean Nam

Highlights: The game was tied 0-0 until the top of the fifth, when Hanover scored on a Muirhead single to lead off the inning, moving over on a Hayden Avard ground ball and scoring on a Nam single to right field. MV scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth, and Hanover went down 1-2-3 in the top of the seventh. Toulmin pitched four innings allowing no runs on one hit with five strikeouts and three walks. Muirhead pitched the final two frames giving up three runs on two hits with two walks.

Coach’s quote: “We need to play a lot better if we plan on making the playoffs — never mind go deep into them. We had more errors than hits and had 14 strikeouts as a team. You won’t win many, if any, games only putting the ball in play seven times.” — Hanover’s John Grainger

Stratton Mountain 1

Key players: White River Valley — Andrew Vanesse, Joey Ferris, Brayden Russ, Donavan Craven, Ty Couture

Highlights: The Cats’ offense racked up 13 hits in Tuesday night’s win. Vanesse got his first varsity hit and scored two runs for the White River Valley. Ferris was 3-for-5 with a double in the game.

Plymouth 2, Lebanon 1 (8)

Key players: Lebanon — George Tafe (1-4, RBI); Zach Aldrich (7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 3 K, 2 BB)

Highlights: Lebanon took an early lead in the third inning when Tafe drove in Nick Brill with an RBI single. Plymouth tied it in the sixth and won with a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth.

Key players: Merrimack Valley — Kayla Smith (2-for-4); Caydence Allberg (2-for-4) Hanover — Abby Campfield (2-for-4, 2 RBIs); Ellenora Cary (1-for-1, sac bunt); Giavanna Schembri (1-for-3; 2 RBIs); Jess Lobb (9 innings pitched)

Highlights: MV took an early lead, going up 2-0 in the first inning. Hanover rallied in the fourth inning, with an RBI single from Lobb sparking a three-run rally for the Bears. The game remained tight throughout. Hanover battled back in the top of the seventh to take the 6-5 lead. MV scored in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, where it remained until the bottom of the ninth when MV scored after a single, a bunt and a wild pitch.
