DURHAM, N.H. — The Hanover High boys track and field team claimed second place, and Lebanon took fourth, in Friday’s NHIAA Division II state championship meet hosted by Oyster River.

The Bears’ boys racked up five first-place finishes on their way to a second-place showing behind a dominant Coe-Brown team. Lucian Gleiser won the 400-meter dash in 51.22 seconds. Aiden Powell was first in the 300-meter hurdles in 41.05. Ian Solberg (high jump) and James Chafouleas (javelin) each had wins in field events. The Bears also took first in the 4x100 meter relay with a team of Joaquin Martin, Liam Kitchel, Jeff Vidou and Aidan Bradley in 44.11 seconds.

Powell added a third-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (15.28). Nathaniel Solberg was third in the long jump. The Bears had another third-place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with Bradley, Gleiser, Kitchel and Martin in 3:30.33.

Tanner Ames had three podium finishes in field events for the Lebanon boys, including a win in the shot put. Ames added a second-place showing in discus and took third in javelin. The Raiders won the 4x800 meters with a team of Sean Miller, Birhanu Harriman, Griffin Urnezis and Carson Jones in 8:10.80. Harriman added a second-place finish in the 3,200 meters in 9:20.01.

Lea Perreard had two high finishes in distance running events for the sixth-place Hanover girls. Perreard was second in the 3,200 meters (11:24.37) and third in the 1,600 meters (3:57.892). Mia Bagnato took third in the pole vault.

Isabella Hastings was second in the high jump for the Lebanon girls.

BRADFORD, Vt. — The Olympians crushed the Raiders twice to close the regular season undefeated at 16-0.

Hadlee Allen led the attack in game one, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and four RBIs. Oxbow took control with 13 runs in the third inning. Starting pitcher Anastase Bourgeois went four innings, striking out five, and helped her own cause with a RBI triple. The Olympians had 21 hits as a team.

Noemi Rosa had three hits, including a double, and four RBIs to lead the way in game two. Oxbow cemented this one with six runs in the fifth innings. Rosa started in the circle, striking out eight over five innings. Bourgeois had a home run.

“It was an all-around effort from all the girls,” Oxbow coach Chuck Simmons said. “It was a great way to finish out the regular season. I’m very proud of the girls.”

LANGDON, N.H. — The Cardinals concluded the regular season with seven wins in their last eight games. Stevens (8-8) will await its seed in the upcoming NHIAA Division III playoffs.

WESTMINSTER, Vt. — The Wasps fell to 4-7 with the loss and will wrap up the regular season Saturday at home against Mill River.

WHITEFIELD, N.H. — The Royals fell to the Spartans and finished the season 0-16.

Baseball Stevens 5, Fall Mountain 4

LANGDON, N.H. — The Cardinals edged the Wildcats on the road to improve to 10-5. Stevens finishes the regular season Saturday at Bishop Brady.

WHITEFIELD, N.H. — The Royals (3-13) were shut out on the road by White Mountains. Leighum Tetreault took the loss on the mound for Mascoma.

Boys Lacrosse Hartford 7, Brattleboro 4

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. — Joseph Barwood had four goals and two assists to help the Hurricanes (15-0) close out an undefeated regular season.

Austin St. Peter added a goal and an assist. Bryce Soboleski and Ezra Mock also had goals. Logan Caffrey and Evan Lynds had assists.

Up next is the VPA D-II playoffs, where the Canes will be the top seed.

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. — The Wasps wrapped up a 9-6 regular season and will await their seed in the Vermont Division I playoffs.

HANOVER — The Bears finished the regular season with a record of 4-10.

Girls Lacrosse Woodstock 16, Stratton Mountain 7

WOODSTOCK — Claudia Shoemaker led the way for the Wasps, racking up four goals and three assists.

Isabel Konijnenberg chipped in three goals and a pair of assists for the homestanding Wasps. Fiona Piconi and Hannah Gubbins each had three goals and an assist. Gracie Laperle, Lily Gubbins and Aleks Cirovic had a goal and an assist apiece. Maeve Roylance, Maggie Mello and Lila Beckwith all had assists.

Goalies Audrey Emery and Jess Baumann split time, combining for eight saves. Woodstock (6-7) now looks forward to the VPA D-II playoffs.

Girls Tennis Prospect Mountain 7, Lebanon 2

ALTON, N.H. — The No. 6 seed Raiders saw their season come to an end at Prospect Mountain in the NHIAA Division III quarterfinals.

Hannah Rich picked up an 8-1 win at No. 5 singles. Aesha Soni and Hannah Rich added a 9-7 win in the top doubles match. Soni (9-7) and Adaa Karanwal (9-8) each lost tight matches in singles play.

Lebanon will graduate Soni, Bella Direnzo and Azzlyn Arnold.

Boys Tennis Hartford 5, Mount St. Joseph 0

RUTLAND — The Hurricanes defeated the winless Green Wave to finish the regular season at 3-8.
