ORFORD — In a game moved to Rivendell Academy because of poor field conditions at Thetford, the Yellowjackets defeated the Panthers to give coach Wendy Moody her first win leading the varsity team.
Trailing by three runs entering the seventh, Windsor scored nine runs in that frame, keyed by a Mackenzie Kleefisch single and a Sydney Perry double. Molly Burke walked 11 batters and struck out eight.
“Proud of our grit to dig in late in the game to battle back for the win,” Moody said. “We once again made some fielding position changes as we are still figuring out what works best collectively.”
