WEST LEBANON — The Bears came up just short in a great battle with Trinity at Campion Rink.

“Our boys played fast and hard. We had them on their heels for a large chunk of the game,” Hanover coach Dick Dodds said. “We’re getting better in leaps and bounds. This game could have gone either way. We battled hard and played with energy. Fun to watch; the boys deserved better.”

Trinity had defeated Hanover by a 6-2 final just 10 days ago. The Pioneers were led by Aidan Palmeter, who scored the game-winning goal with four minutes left to play. Palmeter scored or assisted on all nine of the goals Trinity scored against Hanover this season.

Goalie Andy Lindquist made 22 saves for the Raiders (9-7-0), who conclude the regular season at home on Saturday against Berlin-Gorham-Kennett.
