CANAAN — Another dentist will be joining the Mascoma Community Health Center team this summer.

Dr. Morgan Ritchie will begin working at the Canaan-based federally qualified health care center in August, according to a news release. Ritchie earned her dental degree from the University of Southern California and went onto the University of Michigan where she completed a general practice residency.

Ritchie will join a staff that includes Dr. Thomas Duplinsky, director of dental services, Dr. Mona Elzarka, hygienist Chentel McGraw and dental assistant Katherine (Katie) Howard. Mascoma’s dental program reopened last October after being closing in July 2022 when the nonprofit organization could not find a dentist to hire. The practice is one of the few in the area that accepts Medicaid.

Mascoma is accepting new patients, with 300 appointments open in July and August, according to the news release. More information is online at http://mascomacommunityhealthcare.org/
