HARTFORD VILLAGE — A 60-day closure of Route 14 between Ferry Crossing Road and Christian Street in Hartford Village is scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 5, according to the Vermont Agency of Transportation.

During the closure a signed detour route will direct motorists along the VA Cutoff Road, Mill Road, U.S. Route 4/5 and Route 14. Pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained.

The closing is required as part of a full bridge replacement project to widen and realign the bridge that crosses the White River and Town Highway 98 with Christian Street.

The project is expected to be completed in fall 2025.
