Southeastern Vermont Community Action has new director

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Southeastern Vermont Community Action, the community action agency serving Windsor and Windham counties in Vermont, has a new director. 

The Westminster, Vt.-based anti-poverty organization’s board selected Josh Davis, of Brattleboro, Vt., to serve as SEVCA’s executive director, according to a news release.

Davis has been executive director of Brattleboro’s Groundworks Collaborative, which includes a homeless shelter and drop-in center, for the past 11 years. He holds a master’s degree in sustainable development from The School for International Training, worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia and has spent time working in Japan and Kosovo.

Davis will begin at SEVCA on Jan. 1, 2024.
