Secondary accomplishments

Steven High School junior Aubree Herzog represented Granite YMCA at the YMCA’s National Advocacy Days in Washington, D.C., last month. During the two days of the gathering, Herzog spoke N.H. Reps. Chris Pappas and Annie Kuster, along with Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan about funding for civics education and the Charitable Act, according to a news release from the YMCA.

Lebanon School District selects March student of the month

LEBANON — Lebanon High School senior Jonathan (Jack) Clary has been named March’s student of the month.

Clary has been a member of the school’s Model United Nations and has served as a captain since his junior year, according to a news release from the Lebanon School District. His teachers have described him as a strong leader who is good at engaging his peers and adults alike in conversation.

“Jack has overseen rebuilding the MUN team, including efforts to be more diverse, equal, and inclusive. Jack wrote grant requests for funding and restructured the application process,” according to the release. “Jack understands the challenges of being a leader, and he leans into those challenges with consideration of context and motivation to be fair and equitable.”

Post-secondary accomplishments

The following Upper Valley residents made the dean’s list at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., for the fall 2023 semester: Taylor Farrell, Chelsea, accounting and business management; Emily Vaughan, East Thetford, criminal justice; Nicole Williams, Grafton, nursing; Caroline Laramie, Lebanon, psychology; Lucia Taylor, Lyme, political science; Rayna Tucker, Springfield, N.H., accounting and finance; Jordan Chappell, Sunapee, psychology and criminal justice; and Austin Evans, White River Junction, interior architecture.

Finlay Stover, of Orford, made the dean’s list at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., for the fall 2023 semester.

Emma Henault, of Tunbridge, was inducted into the Elmira College chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, in Elmira, N.Y.
