WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — A nonprofit organization that serves people with disabilities has created a mobile app to help them navigate community resources.

The Special Needs Support Center, with help from the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact, launched the ap earlier this month and it includes more than 200 organizations throughout the Twin States. The free app can be downloaded from Apple App Store under “SNSC app” and the web version can be found at www.snscapp.com. People can search for services by town, age, type of disability, insurance, and services needed.

“It can be very overwhelming for a parent, caregiver, or adult with special needs to navigate through hundreds of services and organizations to find what they need. This new mobile and web application will help decrease the stress and precious time spent in finding services,” SNSC executive director Laura Perez said in a news release. “This mobile app and website will help parents, self-advocates, teachers, and case managers navigate local businesses, nonprofits, and other agencies with ease while saving precious time in connecting with the incredible resources available in our region.”
