Upper Valley flu shot clinics begin this month

There are numerous opportunities to get a flu shot at clinics hosted by Upper Valley nonprofit organizations this fall.

The Public Health Council of the Upper Valley will host six walk-in clinics along with with Dartmouth Health and the Geisel School of Medicine. There is no registration or insurance required. The clinics are open to adults and children ages 10 and up. An enhanced dose of the vaccine is available for those age 65 and older. Thursday, Sept. 26: 4 to 7 p.m., Plainfield Elementary School, 92 Bonner Road, Meriden.

Thursday, Oct. 10: 4 to 7 p.m., Enfield Community Building, 308 Route 4, Enfield.

Saturday, Oct. 12: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Orford Congregational Church, 617 Route 10, Orford.

Wednesday, Oct. 16: 4 to 7 p.m., Oxbow High School, 36 Oxbow Drive, Bradford, Vt.

Wednesday, Oct. 30: 4 to 7 p.m., HealthFirst Family Care Center/Mascoma Community Health, 18 Roberts Road.

Saturday, Nov. 9: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Windsor Welcome Center, 3 Railroad Ave., Windsor.

Additionally, Dartmouth Health will hold clinics for adults and children ages 12 and older at Dartmouth Hitchock Medical Center in Lebanon, Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor and Woodstock, and Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont. All clinics — except for the one at Valley Regional — require registration via myDH.org or by calling DH’s Flu Hotline at 603-653-3731.

Clinics at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Level 5M, One Medical Center Drive, in Lebanon:

Monday, Sept. 23 to Friday, Nov. 22: Mondays and Wednesdays, 7 a.m. to noon; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m.; and Fridays, 6:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Nov 10: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Flu shot clinics for children younger than 12 will be held Monday, Sept. 9 through December, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Pediatrics at reception 6L. There will also be a family clinic on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, located at 289 County Road in Windsor, will hold two flu shot clinics: Saturday, Oct 5, and Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Appointments required: 802-674-7300.

The Ottauquechee Health Center, located at 32 Pleasant St., in Woodstock, will hold two flu shot clinics: Saturday, Oct. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Appointments required: 802-457-3030.

Saturday, Oct. 26: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Valley Regional Hospital, 243 Elm St. No appointment needed.
