THETFORD — The Vermont Agency of Transportation is holding a virtual public informational meeting next week on a culvert replacement project that will require Route 113 be closed on the West Fairlee/Thetford border for a weekend in June, according to a post card sent to residents.

The $705,000 project is to replace a metal pipe with a concrete box culvert. The contractor for the project is Middlesex, Vt.-based J.A. McDonald, Inc.

The detour during the closing is to go south from Route 113 and Route 5 to Route 14 in Hartford, head west to Route 110 to go north and return to Route 113.

The meeting, which will offer a project overview, anticipated construction schedule, detour route overview and additional information about the construction impacts, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 18, at 6 p.m. Registration for the Zoom meeting is online at: bit.ly/3MhzHnw.
