Town Meeting preview: Local option tax heads to Woodstock voters

Contested races: Laura Powell and Scott Smith are vying for a seat on the Selectboard.
Budgets and other spending articles: The proposed budget is $8.02 million, with $6.6 million expected to come from taxes. Last year’s proposed budget was $7.68 million. The proposed sewer department budget is $1.34 million, of which $1.3 million is to come from user fees. Last year’s proposed sewer budget was $1.21 million.
