LEBANON — The Lebanon High boys basketball team put together four complete quarters to earn a quality win, 79-61, over Kingswood on Tuesday night at Lang Metcalf Gym.

The Raiders drained 11 3-pointers as a team, with Dawson Bates making four on his way to a game-high 26 points. Sam Bates added three more from downtown on his way to 16 points. Nicholas Brill had a pair from deep and also had 16 points on the night. Declan Brandis added 10 points, and Domineaq Taylor had eight.

The Raiders outscored Kingswood 24-9 in the fourth quarter to break open what had been a competitive game throughout. Lebanon (3-4) hosts Coe-Brown on Friday night.

Mascoma 61, Newfound 25

WEST CANAAN — The Royals opened the game on a 21-3 run and never looked back, improving to 5-3 in NHIAA Division III play.

Zach Thompson again led the way for Mascoma with 18 points. James Thomas added 10 points, and freshman Brayden Pierce had nine. The Royals also closed strong, outscoring Newfound 16-2 in the fourth quarter.

Mascoma hosts Stevens on Friday.

Stevens 53, Monadnock 41

CLAREMONT — The Cardinals used a 17-2 run in the second quarter to pull in front of the Huskies.

Hunter LaRocque led Stevens with 14 points. Devante Thompson made the most of his first varsity start for the Cards, chipping in 11 points.

Stevens (6-3, 5-2 NHIAA) heads to Mascoma on Friday.

Brattleboro 63, Woodstock 44

WOODSTOCK — The Wasps fell to 2-4 with a loss to the Colonels.

Declan McCullough had 21 points for Woodstock. The Wasps managed just 18 points combined in the middle two quarters to fall behind the pace.

Ezra Lockhart and Zach Martsolf-Tan each added seven points for the Wasps.

Woodstock visits U-32 on Friday.

Bow 49, Hanover 44

HANOVER — The Bears couldn’t hold a six-point lead after three quarters of their NHIAA Division II game and fell to 0-7. Bow, which made both ends of three one-and-one opportunities during the final three minutes, improved to 2-3.

Christian Blix led the hosts with 11 points, and freshman post man Jaysen Oriol added nine. Hanover is at Manchester West (3-2) on Friday.

Rivendell 69, Leland & Gray 48

TOWNSHEND, Vt. — The Raptors (6-3) picked up their third straight win. Rivendell heads to Springfield on Friday.

Proctor 64, Sharon 49

SHARON — The Phoenix dropped to 1-5 with a loss to the Phantoms. Sharon is at Mid Vermont Christian on Friday.

Twinfield/Cabot 60, Oxbow 40

BRADFORD — The Olympians fell to 1-8 and are at Blue Mountain on Friday.

Girls Basketball Windsor 73, Woodstock 10

WINDSOR — Sydney Perry had 23 points, 13 rebounds and four steals to lead the Yellowjackets over the Wasps.

Sophia Rockwood added 15 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Audrey Rupp had 12 points along with five boards and five steals. Brianna Barton had 10 points and five rebounds.

Windsor (8-2) visits Hartford on Monday. Woodstock (3-5) is back in action on Thursday at home against White River Valley.

West Rutland 57, White River Valley 40

SOUTH ROYALTON — The Wildcats ran out of gas in the fourth quarter against the visiting Golden Horde.

WRV built a 29-22 lead at halftime but faded after the break, particularly in the fourth quarter when the visitors closed on a 22-3 run.

Tanner Drury made four 3-pointers and had 15 points for the Wildcats. Jillian Barry added 10 points. WRV (3-3) visits Woodstock on Thursday.

Newfound 41, Mascoma 36

BRISTOL, N.H. — The Royals could never quite dig out of an early hole in a loss to the Bears.

Newfound opened the game on a 14-7 run and did enough to hold off the Royals for the duration. Leah Larocque had 12 points for the Royals, and Gabby Pierce added nine.

The Royals (2-6) host Fall Mountain on Tuesday.

Stevens 54, Monadnock 38

SWANZEY, N.H. — The Cardinals improved to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in NHIAA play. Stevens is at Kearsarge next Tuesday.

Bow 35, Hanover 23

BOW, N.H. — The Bears dropped their second straight game, falling to the Falcons in a rematch of last year’s NHIAA Division II final. Hanover (5-4 overall, 4-2 NHIAA) is at Merrimack Valley on Thursday.

Girls Hockey Bishop Guertin 5, Hanover 1

HUDSON, N.H. — Just eight days after the Bears defeated the Cardinals at Campion Rink, Bishop Guertin returned the favor on at Cyclones Arena.

Rory Seelig scored Hanover’s lone goal, assisted by Nora Bradley.

The Bears (7-2 overall, 5-2 NHIAA) host Burrillville (R.I.) on Saturday.

Alpine Skiing Hanover sweeps

NEWBURY, N.H. — The Bears’ boys and girls were each dominant in picking up wins in a race at Mount Sunapee.

The Hanover girls claimed 11 of the top 13 places in giant slalom and 10 of the top 14 in slalom, led by Maggie Higgins’ wins in each. Reilly Loughman was third in GS and sixth in slalom. Allison Daigle took second in slalom, and Dahlia Fuld was seventh. Mia Madden claimed fifth in GS, with Ashley Cotter right behind in sixth.

The Munsons were victorious in both boys races, with Ethan Munson taking tops in GS and Gavin Munson matching in slalom. Andrew McGuire was second in GS and fifth in slalom. Owen Smith took third in each race. Nicholas Reiss was second in slalom and sixth in GS.
