Police: Woman injured by train in Hartford

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — A woman was reported in stable condition at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center on Friday morning after police responded to a call that she had been “hit by a train” and was found laying near the railroad tracks in White River Junction on Thursday afternoon.

The woman was discovered “conscious, breathing and alert with injuries” alongside the railroad tracks near the 150 block on Latham Works Lane at around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Hartford police said in a news release.

Police did not provide the woman’s name, age or town of residence.
