RANDOLPH — A Randolph woman has been charged with Medicaid fraud.

Laura Paige, 42, was arraigned on Wednesday on two felony counts in Orange Superior Court in Chelsea, a news release from the Vermont Attorney General’s office said.

Paige, who pleaded not guilty, is accused of having “falsely billed Medicaid for travel reimbursements and training hours, defrauding Vermont Medicaid of over $18,000 in public health care funds,” the release said.

Paige formerly worked at Upper Valley Services, a nonprofit providing services to people with developmental disabilities.

Judge Daniel Richardson ordered Paige released “on conditions including that she appear in court when directed, provide her contact information to her attorney and the court, and report to a police barracks for photos and fingerprinting,” the release said.
