Coral Riegler, of Thetford, won first place in the grade 4 to 6 class of the 2025 Art of Conservation Fish Art Contest, which is overseen by the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department.
Lucy Angell, of South Royalton, came in first place in the beginners division during the 2025 Central and Southeastern Regional 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl, which took place March 2 at Vermont State University in Randolph Center. The competition, which included a written exam, covered calf raising, feeds and forages, herd health, anatomy, reproduction and dairy breeds, among other topics, according to a news release from the Orange County 4-H dairy program.
Lebanon High School’s March Student of the Month is Dominic Calandrella. Social studies teacher Amanda Valliere nominated Calandrella for the honor, according to a news release from the Lebanon School District.
Hanover High School's Mock Trial team will compete in the final round in New Hampshire Mock Trial Association's tournament on Wednesday at the Federal District Court in Concord. Hanover’s team — which includes Cole DeMatteo, Stella Hobson, Cassie Merwin, Giavanna Schembri, Cailin Stauth, Ella Tesone, Matthew Tysinger, Natalie Wainwright and Owen Welch — will face Phillips Exeter in a mock civil trial. Federal judge Joseph LaPlante will preside over the case and five volunteer attorneys will keep score.
Augustin Ramos-Glew is Lebanon High School’s February student of the month. Lebanon High science teacher Matt Custer, who nominated Ramos-Glew, described him as trustworthy and dependable. “Students look up to him as a positive contributor to the class atmosphere,” Custer wrote in his nomination, according to a news release from the Lebanon School District. “It doesn’t matter what the content is; Augustin is excited to learn it in the classroom. He asks good questions that show that he is looking for connections to his everyday life. His peers respect him for this reason - any group that Augustin is a part of is happier and better because of his presence.”
Maggi Ellsworth, who is studying health science technology at River Bend Career and Technical Center in Bradford, Vt., was selected as a 2025 Presidential Scholar by the Vermont Agency of Education.

Hannah Giguere has been named Lebanon High School’s January student of the month. Giguere, a senior, spends half of her school day at Lebanon High School and the other half studying forestry in the natural resources program at the Hartford Area Career & Technology Center, according to a news release from the Lebanon School District. This summer, she will represent New Hampshire at a bass fishing tournament in Florida.
