HARTLAND — The Hartland School Board has scheduled a revote of its proposed school budget after a petition seeking the second vote received more than 200 signatures.

Voting by Australian ballot will take place on Tuesday, May 28, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Damon Hall in Hartland.

No changes have been made to the budget since it was approved narrowly by voters on April 2, School Board Chairwoman Nicole Buck said last week.

Last week, residents concerned about the close results and low voter turnout submitted a petition asking the town to hold another vote.

With 219 verified signatures, the petition exceeded the threshold of 5% of the town’s 2,960 registered voters and was accepted, Hartland Town Clerk John Paulette said via email.
