Enfield wildlife management area parking lot to close temporarily

ENFIELD — The parking lot at Lower Shaker Wildlife Management Area off Route 4A will close for at least two months due to construction.

Work is scheduled to begin Monday, according to a news release from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, which manages the roughly 1,100 acre site. Work will also be done to improve the site’s access road.

“During the construction period, the WMA and most of the trails on the northern side of the property will be open,” according to the state.

Visitors to the site can park at the nearby Shaker Stone Mill Building on Route 4A, which is on the same side of the road as the closed parking lot.
